My Reason
My father was recently diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and was informed he only has 2-7 years to live. The range of life expectancy is so broad due to diet and exercise being a huge factor. The liver is what filters out toxins from your body and over time it builds up. As a result, I changed my major from hospitality management/ event organization to exercise science and fitness to be better educated on how to help keep my father around a bit longer. I am dedicated to set up a fitness program for his diet and exercise in hopes to discover new ways to help people with cirrhosis of the liver, and possibly prevent less death.
